Baseball/Softball Styles

Baseball uniforms have come a long way from the 100-percent wool flannel or a blend of wool and cotton varieties that were prevalent until the 1960s.

Today’s uniform shirts are typically made out of cotton and/or polyester and have many style options:

- Necklines: crew neck, V-neck, two-button or full-button front

- Sleeves: set-in (sewn into the shoulder) or raglan (stitched under the arm and in two parallel lines leading from the armpit to the neck; makes for ease of arm movement); set-in sleeves tend to be ½ length while raglan sleeves are often ¾ length; vests (typically button-front) are also available to be worn over a T-shirt, turtleneck or jersey

- Colors: solid body, striped body/solid sleeves and collar, striped with solid rib trim, all striped or solid with contrasting trim are just a few options
